Time for the Joxer Film Review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies..
A game film with tongue firmly planted into [undead] cheek and starring Lily James as one of the 5 Bennett sisters who as well of seeking love and romance with Mr Darcy and co find themselves fighting flesh-eating zombies in Hertfordshire [as you do]..
Surprisingly, it does stick to the book with ease, With loads of heaving bosom’s on view and a dialogue that would drive me mad as a kid at school.
There are plenty of comic-book style action sequences from the “nubile ninja’s in corsets” and it is pleasantly entertaining in a pastiche parody of all those dreadful period drama’s that appear on the tv these days..
Don’t for heavens sake take it all too seriously,it is very light hearted and probably not for the purists amongst you but if you want a couple of hours watching something to sink your teeth into then it’s well worth a viewing on a cold, damp,February evening..
[might not be ideal for younger zombie fans]
Joxer Film Rating 7/10
